I don't think there's anything new, land-based gambling has been defeated by online gambling. I'm not sure land-based gambling still exists because technology has advanced and time has run out for daily work routines so there won't be time to go to existing casino locations.
Land based casinos still exist, infact they have upgraded and advanced so much now that they give their gamblers varieties of options for entertainment and socialization aside just gambling. Most big hotels and resorts in my country have casinos attached to their establishment where visitors can experience varieties of games.
Now that the festive period is fast approaching, lots of casinos will host shows, concerts and lots of entertaining activities to 'lure' customers to gamble. Gambling experience in land-based casinos have changed alot and it will take someone with lots of discipline and self control not to get addicted to gambling all because of these tricks these casinos have come up with to make the gamblers more relaxed while spending.
