I would say Tottenham recognized their lapses and quickly addressed them before the start of the second half, which allowed them to emerge victorious. Additionally, the return of their ever-reliable captain added another level of energy and boosted their style of play. I’ve noticed that when Son Heung-min doesn’t play for Tottenham, they struggle to perform. They must be glad to have their captain back in time to help them get past Aston Villa in such a convincing manner.
Tottenham Hotspur staged a great comeback. I thought it would be tough for Tottenham to catch Aston Villa because they had hardly any good chances in the first half, and they didn't even have a single shot on goal. But it turns out my guess was wrong because Tottenham apparently can create a good balance so they can improve their collectiveness. In stark contrast to what happened in the first half, Tottenham created many shots on Goal in the second half, and 4 of those were converted into goals.
A great comeback from Tottenham, and it's all due to Solanke impressive performance. Solanke's pressing and work off the ball really helped his club in the second half. I still don't know why many people called him a waste of money.
Solanke's stats show his huge impact on the game against Aston Villa. If he gets rolling, he could become a glorified forward in the future. He only needs to get enough minutes. He's often sit on the bench.
