I dont quite get how government can control or coordinate people, and force them not to spend more than they could.
The best, maybe the only, way they can prevent their citizens from being financially irresponsible is to educate them. You’d see a lot of insurance ads in our public roads and there are advertisements in the television as well. But again, this is only what they can do. It is still up to the citizens themselves if they will follow or not.
They will soon then realize how vital it is to be financially responsible when they suffer the consequences of their actions.
I absolutely agree with you that many gamblers, and especially young people under the age of majority do not have a sufficient level of education in the field of finance to manage their finances competently, including in gambling.
In my opinion, many states do not strive to improve the level of education of their citizens because it has always been easier to manage stupid people.
Maybe that is why the state does not interfere in this sphere, although it regulates it.
Parents should be aware of giving extra money to their children so that they do not get addicted to gambling and family awareness is more important than state awareness. Considering the state environment it is not at all easy for the government of the country to treat the people of most countries in this way. People can easily learn about the culture of neighboring countries and they have access to internet and cell phones which is a milestone for easy communication. Gamblers must be aware of their responsibilities to increase financial awareness when gambling, states or institutions do not have the right to interfere with your personal spending. You should set aside a weekly limit for gambling in order to manage your earnings and finances so that you don't overspend.
