~snip~ it will be too early to say Real Madrid have lost the La Liga. We all know that we are not 100% sure that Barcelona will continue to be winning all the games as they are right now, and Real Madrid will continue trying to win their matches again. So I think they both still have a lot of hard work to put in.

That's the simple math. But the league has many matches that will be grueling. That will be a difficult factor to predict, so a 9-point gap is not impossible for Real Madrid to catch. This is because there are still many matches yet to be played. I believe there will be many surprises that happen. I read many rumors that Real Madrid will take advantage of the transfer market to buy players. So Real Madrid might be getting better.

Madrid has one game in hand if they win the game then the points difference will be 6 points, although it is still quite far to catch up with Barcelona but because of the tight schedule of both and the long La Liga competition there is still a chance for Ancelotti and the team to be able to catch up.
And I agree Madrid really should bring in some defenders in the upcoming transfer market.
And I read the news earlier that Ancelotti proposed a postponement of the competition to the Royal Spanish Football Association (RFEF) because of the disaster experienced in the city of Valencia, is this his strategy to buy time? I think if (RFEF) stops the competition temporarily, it will benefit Madrid at least Ancelotti is given a lot of time to optimize the squad which can currently be said to be not ideal to compete in La Liga.
