Real Madrid lost their match against Barcelona, and for sure, 9 points is a huge gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, Real Madrid seem to find it difficult to top the La Liga table, but seriously, to me, I’m still expecting Real Madrid to surprise us.
Although I know that Barcelona's performance is great this season and they have been doing well this season, it will be too early to say Real Madrid have lost the La Liga. We all know that we are not 100% sure that Barcelona will continue to be winning all the games as they are right now, and Real Madrid will continue trying to win their matches again. So I think they both still have a lot of hard work to put in.
The main problem for Real is that it looks like this season will be played in the format of a fight between 2 teams and not several. If it were a few teams then there would be hope that Barcelona could lose a lot of points in other games (and Real would still have to win the one remaining), but if Real and Barcelona continue to score 90% of the points then Barcelona's current advantage will be enough to take the title.
