We should probably look into how altcoins will do on the long term, and because of this I believe we are going to see them have a different result. Things aren't always that simple, we need to make sure altcoins are addressing different economic situations time to time and because of that we are seeing how things aren't always that clear. Of course some altcoins (like usdt) are still strong, and would be preferred over gold but definitely not up to the level of bitcoin.

Alts are usually created to make more profit, not to address the problems you mentioned or others
That's the meta of new coins, the era of something like BTC or ETH, which were made with clear goals not only with money in mind is gone. Though innovation is still going forward, many use it in a bad way to get the funds and funders flowing.
