Do you have a habit of tracking your gambling progress?
What for? To make sure that you, like most players, lose out on the "long run" of gambling or, at best, stay with your money? The few lucky ones, even without tracking progress, are well aware that they are lucky. Compiling tables and databases on your losses and winnings will not increase your luck in any way.
You’ll never really appreciate doing this because it only brings more pain and disappointment, especially when you’re losing more than winning. I’ve been there myself. But despite its negative impact, it does help us realize if this is truly meant for us—or if it’s time to stop and quit chasing luck. It also shows us how we handle our money; sometimes we’re shocked to see it’s all gone simply because we overspent on gambling.
We might say it’s not worth it, but I’m certain there are lessons here that benefit us, especially when it comes to managing our finances.
