What do you think about this? Isn’t it inspiring already?

Archie Karas: Turning $50 into $40 million

A narrative like that where the subject/gambler later lost all the millions he won shouldn't inspire anyone. For me, if anything, it should even scare people into believing that no matter whatever one does as a gambler one would eventually lose. Again, those reading this post without going through the main article would think the win was recorded in a day. It wasn't. It's a series of wins accumulated over a long period of time from 1992 to 1995.

Yeah, people should pay attention to details and read article before making posts here. I am sure that many think that he went from 50 bucks to 40 millions in a single gambling session Cheesy It took him months to turn 10k into first million while playing poker. And I would not be surprised if some of his opponents were rich newbies.

Btw, if someone is really good at poker, he can try to repeat Archie Karas result partly. With 10k buy-in, skills and luck, anyone can participate in World Series of Poker tournament, win it and earn several millions. This year, Jonathan Tamayo (reminder, buy-in is 10k only) won tournament and got 10 millions.
