Phil Salt gave a very good start to the team but still, he failed to give a win to the team. He is the vice captain of the England team and it was his responsibility to give a good start and try to give a good end to the team but he just did a good start and has not made a good end for the team. At least he did his job but the other batsmen have not played well. Almost 4 or 5 wickets were gone quickly in the start of the game but Phil Salt stood at one end and took the game to the depth by making some valuable runs but still, at the end of the day, England lost the game very badly.
As you are saying that Phil Salt is the vice captain and he should have to lead the team through the win then I just want to say it is the responsibility of the original captain and at the same time, there are 10 players more that can give good ending and starting to the team cause.
You only target to Phil Salt who played the most amazing game in this match and if he would get a partner then I am pretty sure he would give good end to the match but he has done his responsibility to make runs and if you say about the good end then he is not a bowler. The main cause of this loss was the England bowlers who failed to take the West Indies wickets.
