Not to forget the whole hiring a hitman to assassinate a thief thing. Perhaps he was egged on by that FBI agent guy, Carl Mark Force or whatever. But still, he could have said "no, that's a dumb idea" instead of going along with it.
The info I've heard about that leads me to not make it a factor in my opinion at all. YMMV.
Having said that, I think he can do actual good outside of prison, as something of a celebrity / figurehead, and hope he gets released some day.
To be clear (in case I wasn't), I have nothing against Ulbricht at all and do appreciate the rebellious nature of what he did. It's just one of those things where you mess with the bull and you get the horns and I find that those who are demanding a pardon seem a bit delusional. If Trump delivers him one though, good on him.
