Why should we care about Ross Ulbricht being released?
We shouldn't. Smiley

When did the US government "attack Bitcoin"?
Forcing miners to censor transaction is a direct attack on Bitcoin's main principle of being censorship resistant. If the hashrate in US grows more than this (another Trump promise) it could lead to bad things happening to Bitcoin's reputation. Specially since US is going to war with the rest of the world (tariff war nonsense and all the rest) and the sanctions are going to exponentially grow which can translate into more OFAC censorship...

I can see that you are kinda butthurt because of Trump's victory. I don't care that Trump became a US president. Let's enjoy the bull run and forget about politics for a while. Trump promised lower taxes and less regulations, let's see if he will keep his promises in 2025.
I am not an American so I don't exactly care, specially for his domestic promises (taxes and all that).
If anything I believe that for the rest of the world, he is a better US president because he will isolate and weaken US; for example his specific way of going at tariff war will help speed up the ongoing dedollarisation by a lot more than what Biden's policies and version of tariff war was doing and that is a fantastic thing for us Grin
