I agree with you that Erik Ten Hag was the reason why Manchester United were performing poorly this season in all competitions because ever since Manchester United's management sacked him, Manchester United's performance had really changed for good. Ruud Van Nisterlrooy has been doing wonderful work since he took charge as Manchester United's interim coach, and Manchester United has not lost any matches in all competitions. I think Ruud Van Nisterlrooy and the incoming Manchester United head coach would have been a good pair for Manchester United, but the incoming Manchester United head coach made it clear to Manchester United management that he will be coming with his coach crew from Sporting Lisbon.
