Real Sociedad is not a club that can be underestimated in my opinion their performance is almost on par with Athletic Bilbao. Their performance is mediocre but also can't be said to be good, I initially thought the match would end in a draw because Barcelona still had plenty of time to hold Real Sociedad to a draw in the second half but it turned out that Barcelona suffered a narrow defeat, they also didn't do as many shots as they usually do, football is indeed full of surprises I am also not surprised if behind this there is something strange like cheating by bookies in arranging the game.
Barcelona fought really well but I think they underrate Real sociedad and they pay for it. Real sociedad is a sturbon team and they took the advantage. It is higher time to stop underrating small teams and also too early to get comfortable with previous victories. Moreover, the over dependence on Yamal is obvious and the consequences is already manifesting. Barcelona need to have a back up for him, his absence shouldn't destabilize the whole team at this his young age. They don't seem to possess threat at all without him. They've lost the two games he didn't start this season and Raphinha is just a ghost without him too.
Barcelona loss to a smaller team like Real sociedad proved that they failed to take the previous matches as seriously as they did and the poor performance of the attacking players led to the loss which disappointed the crowd and many gamblers. Yes barca fought well but failed to score do you blame it on luck or own mistakes? Coach Hansi Flick blamed the match referee and said that Barca lost the match as a result of his wrong decision. However the loss to Barcelona brought some relief to Real Madrid as they were 9 points behind and the loss to Real Sociedad reduced that gap to 6 points.
