We're used to these in-between dumps,  and we anticipate them, but that does not mean we have to witness them each time the price rises sharply.
But i agree, the odds for a dump are higher.

hahahahahaha

Yeah.. right.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

The odds for a dump are higher whenever the cornz price goes up.

That is a truism.

A statement that is always true.   Tongue

At jjg so the 9k in silver junk i sold became about 16k in btc

Sounds like a reasonable reallocation of value... although some people do like to collect some of those kinds of things and to even display them, and I cannot really disparage anyone who likes to collect things.

Of course, with bitcoin one of the reasons that we should like it so much would be that it should be pretty liquid, and yeah a bonus if the asset (such as bitcoin) is holding (or appreciating) in value more than alternative places that we might decide to keep some of our value.

I'm really impressed with the explosive power of bitcoin. Amazing.

Yep.. It never really lost such power, even though surely it can be somewhat suppressed for decent periods of time, yet we seen to witness such explosive power every year or so.. even though sometimes it can go longer and not really be as noticeable when it is not breaking through new ATHs..

Breaking through new ATHs does contribute to the explosive power being more perceptible, and many times there will be ongoing attempts at shorting even while the BTC price keeps going up.. pauses a bit and then goes up some more, and surely none of us should either be on the wrong side of that trade or have had failed/refused to sufficiently/adequately stock up prior to the explosive UPpity taking place.

I will admit that bitcoin price moves is an item of awe!!!!.. yet at the same time, those kinds of bitcoin price dynamics are built into the system, too  (I mean bitcoin seems to be designed like that).

some might think this pump is something special... but if when we go to 200k-500k by next year this kind of move is absolutely necessary... and it won't be the last as well
A few days ago I said it in another thread that most likely people will unload before $100k and if the demand holds and they get bought out, they'll go back in adding to the pump above $100k and that's where the real FOMO will start.

Probably overall we agree.  I think that there will be a decent amount of selling at and around $100k, yet personally, I doubt that the selling is going to be enough to really offset the buying, so overall I cannot imagine $100k to be an area of great resistance, so then we might as well characterize $100k sellers as mostly weak hands, even though some of them may well consider that they are not weak hands because they are making considerable profits blah blah blah.

I don't feel strong enough about my base case to bet on it, since of course it can be difficult to figure out what is going to happen, and sometimes it seems if we move up too fast, then that just leaves space for a correction, and so if we go to $100k quickly (within this week or the next) and don't even have any consolidation or correction prior to getting to $100k, then I would think that the buying support is not going to be able to keep up so it will make staying above $100k more difficult to achieve.

On the other hand, if we consolidate for a few weeks before going above $100k, then there might be more ability to stay above $100k. but yeah, I am not attached either way, yet I am kind of getting the sense that we could get a pump to $120k or so without even having prior consolidation.. .. but even that scenario, which would be my base case, I couldn't even assign it higher than 35% odds... but I have not figured out all of the other lower odd scenarios.. and I don't feel that I need to either, since I don't really trade around these ideas, anyhow.

When I woke up today and checked the price I immediately thought to myself that these guys on WO thread must be celebrating. I bet they're buzzing like little bees in Spring.

There has been more activity in here in the past couple of days...so you are correct.. perhaps lots of ccccccccciiititttttttttteeeee happening.

Well, color me surprised. Bitcoin has finally decided to do something interesting... After how many months?

Approximately 9 months.. that's why it has been referred to as time to have a baby zone.
