I like to travel so every year I sell enough to pay for my trips for the next year. I did that 2 weeks ago. I might sell a tiny fraction more when we hit $100,000 but otherwise I'll be hodling. I am astounded what my original investment in 2014 would be worth today if I had held it all.
That's not temptation. You're selling to fulfill your traveling desire and not just sell simply because you're tempted to sell. Moreover, we can not hold till eternity. We have to sell at some point when we feel satisfied with the profit so you don't have to regret or thinking about the worth of your initial investment. You can only regret when you failed to have investment at all after selling everything you owned.
I don't think this is a question I can really answer with a straight face cause just last week I was very tempted to sell and this week I still want to hold. I'm still a little new to this so I get really emotional whenever I start looking at the chart cause whenever I see a dip my elder brothers words start echoing in my ears when he kept telling me how crypto and Bitcoin is a scam that will ruin me financially. Recently I have brushed off his words and I have also given up on holding other coins.i now hold only Bitcoin because I feel that it is the only one that has really stood the test of time.
Infact I actually want to buy more and look away and just hope for the best.i hope it's a strategy I won't get to regret though.
If you are still reflecting over your brother's words, it means you have done enough research on what you invested in and that's why you are skeptical about reliability. Fluctuation is a feature of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin in this regard but that doesn't mean it is a scam.
You need to have a clear and achievable goals towards your investment. Only traders take a hasty decision in a situation like this. Set goal for your investment and you won't be contemplating on whether to sell or hold on for a longer time. Your decision will strictly be guided by your set up plan and goals.
