However, Liverpool is going to be the favorite to win the next game if we consider how Real Madrid has lost their games this season. Even though Liverpool hasn't lost a Champions League match this season, they will still face major challenges when they meet Real Madrid, so let's ignore that Real Madrid is having difficult times with injured players. Considering that Real Madrid lost to Milan in Santiago and Liverpool defeated Ac Milan during an away game, many people will give Liverpool a greater chance than Real Madrid. The only position where Real Madrid will struggle is at right back, and we're not sure who they'll use there against Liverpool.

Till the season has finally come to an end and Real Madrid's performance hasn't improved, I will never believe that they have failed at the start of the season. Real Madrid still has more games and more time to recover. In football, anything is possible. They may defeat Liverpool at home without conceding a goal because, in my opinion, Courtois will be ready, which would be great for Real Madrid. With four games remaining, they still have a chance to recover despite their Champions League standing.

This could be a game that is all about confidence. In terms of quality I think there is no doubt that Real Madrid can and must be taken seriously, but Liverpool has this moment of confidence and determination while Real Madrid just got beaten 1-3 at home in their last Champions League game. There is more to that game: Liverpool doesn't have to win, they are not as much under pressure as Real Madrid is. Liverpool would be doing just fine with a draw and that means they don't have to take too many risks during the game. They can put a lot of focus on solid defense and then take advantage of any chance they may have. Real Madrid on the other hand has to win that game or definitely not lose it. Otherwise play-offs are almost guaranteed. They play against Atalanta away from home, which is a tough game for sure and they have another game away from home against Brest, but still.
