after mining some blocks someone who has obtained some ticket private keys can construct an alternative chain which replaces the block they actually produced with an alternative one..
It's also not clear to me why you think what you propose is faster.
Because the work happens before the block is created. It eliminates the block interval and reduces confirmation time to a few seconds; the time it takes a block message to cross the network. Why does block creation need to be slow and predictable?
