Gambling is indeed a shortcut to poverty because  the primary thing that will really be affected out by this is your money or simply in finances. If you are really that not good on trying out to determine on whats good and whats bad into your part then it will really be that resulting into that disaster and you will be having those regrets on the time or moment you do face up some challenges.
It is really just that for fun and not for income making. People do mess up and made out realizations when they are on a tough situation or condition.
In the end we can judge that gambling can be done when someone has full control to maintain the rhythm of their finances in spending money to bet and the problem that arises is actually the opposite where people are greedily arranged to start making money in gambling. There is little chance of making money in gambling regularly unless you are the owner of a particular site or casino. Gambling just for fun is not a problem and gambling by preparing a special budget and not exceeding the limit will also not be a big problem, as long as people can control themselves and do not force themselves to pursue profits consistently.
Yes it can be said that if a gambler can ensure proper use of his limited resources and time, he can succeed in preventing himself from becoming addicted. I agree with you if a gambler can keep a separate budget for recreational gambling he can avoid excessive losing and addiction. Besides one should not tend to choose gambling as a means of earning. You should set aside a portion of your discretionary income for gambling.
As a controller you have to rely on luck every time you place a bet and overconfidence can make you prone to losing more. So even if you are very experienced in gambling you should give priority to luck and indulge yourself in gambling by limiting your time and money allocation.
