Ignoring and not participating in his pointless discussions will force him to activate his alt accounts to leave comments to try to make sense of his trolling. It can make the investigation easier, although I'm not sure why anyone would bother with it.
I'm fascinated by how much energy and time people like him are willing to invest just to troll.
