Last season wasn't as bad for Manchester United compared to this season, this season started as a big mess for them not just problem from the coach but the players as well, Ten Hag cannot be 99% of their problem, since his departure the only big team they played is Chelsea which is not considered a tougher opponent due to primarily in the stage of rehabilitation and are still developing into full potentials.

Ruud van Nistelrooy already left, he was the one in charge after the soon sack of Ten Hag and he gave them those few wins and no loss. The new coach has arrived, with his own different pattern and tactics, the team will be undergoing serious transformation in their style of play, the best of them is expected but shouldn't it take a few more time to adapt?

You are a very good football analyst, you know what happen in Manchester United camp, unlike other bias people that gave fault to only the coach Erik. I feel like the way they wanted to see him leave the club looks more like a coordinated attack because that campaign of let Erik Ten Hag go started since ending of last last season but the club didn't listen. The only mistake he did was not signing up more good players and free some of this dumb ones.

When Ruud took over, look at how the players turn up for the matches, they attack like they are going to kill their opponents, look at how the midfielders were attacking and scoring goals, what now stop them from doing that when Erik was around, not everything the coach has to be blame for but that was in the end, the remaining rest on Amorim and we will see if Erik sack was justified or the another Pochettino in Manchester United again.
I also feel this comes with personal relation with his players, Ten Hag never built that friendly relation that will encourage his players on pitch, only there can we count on his fault. If we look at statistics of teams with most missed chances Manchester United under Ten Hag had the most count, if even at most half of those opportunities were converted into goals then the team will be topping lots of teams on the table. Under Ruud van Nistelrooy, the players had lesser missed chances but were able to convert the little ones they had. New transfers are expected under this new management.
