Erik Ten Hag had quite good players to have turned things around and ample of time was indeed being given to him while his stay at United, then what stopped him from signing desired players which would helped him out ,, from my perspective, Erik Ten Hag failed in the contract he was signed for and nothing to justify him the fact that he failed his duty as Manchester United head coach.
Yeah Erik Ten Hag should be fired before the start of the season but management gave him a chance until the last chance was given in the last 2 matches and he failed, now Manchester United are starting a new era with new coaches and so far their performance looks better but we have to see them playing more matches at least until the middle of the season. Manchester United collected 15 points from 11 matches and there was still plenty of time to catch up.
I agree that United management was a bit slow in taking action in sacking Erik Ten Hag, oh maybe they were still fooled by the sweet promises of 2 trophies. But look at Ten Hag results before he left, leaving behind many illnesses that Amorim had to treat. Fortunately Ruud van nistelrooy has restored the player's lost confidence a little.
