People know that gambling can makes them broke faster but they still do that just pretend that they can win and make money from gambling. Those who thinks that gambling is a fast way to rich will disappointed and regret because they will not have the chance to make it and only have the chance to lose their money. They get tempts for what they see in many ways including when they browsing in the internet where they see many gambling advertisements that makes them start gambling. Gambling can not solve poverty and only makes people lose their money and there is no way out from gambling easily.
To some extent, I think they themselves are aware that gambling has made them lose some of their money, but this is still less than their thinking, which is that they think there will be a big win that will happen, so even though they have experienced consecutive defeats, they still do it with confidence. What you said is true, those who think gambling is a quick way to get rich will definitely feel disappointed, and I think it might be worse, they will experience stress because of the series of defeats that occur. Someone who thinks and hopes that gambling can solve the problem of poverty is someone who I think is already damaged by their thinking, because they hope or depend on gambling which actually has no certainty of winning, but defeat or loss is something that is certain to happen. Thinking like that will only trap themselves in gambling, which makes them addicted to gambling and tends to be difficult to get out if they are addicted.
