I think people dont want to place bets on this fight, because it might be sort of a disrespect to try to earn on such a matchup, when a young (yet not a real professional) is planning to beat an old man who is twice older. Because even if they bet and win, they wont be 100% happy that they won. People want Mike Tyson to win, yet betting on him is a high chance of loosing money. There is a dilemma between get happy and lose money, or get money and not be happy about it.
I personally doesn't want to bet though, but again, we have all our sentimental favorites here which is Mike Tyson. Anyone seen the face off though? when Mike slap the hell out of Jake Paul, Lol, it's hilarious and I think Jake was caught off guard and wasn't able to react. Good thing is that it was just a slap and not a close fist as it could really put Jake Paul into sleep. However, I don't know it could have been a set up from the start to and obviously to hype the fight. But regarding betting though, there are social media post that this is one of the biggest bets that we have seen in boxing. So yeah, they really have promoted this fight but for sure maybe some of us here are going to bet silently and not show their bets here.
I think that slap was made for a hype. During the unformal interview before the fight, Jake Paul gave Mike Tyson a gift, a cage with pigeons, knowing that Mike loves them. Mike has replied that he will feed them to his falcon. I think that was also an element of hype. Mike is trying to act tough guy, Mike is trying to be as scary as he used to be, to distract attention that right now is not the beast he used to be.
