In the US military you have no rights, no privacy, probably will end up doing a mindless menial jobs on a domestic base, the food sucks, the coffee sucks, it's run like a mindless corporation. 

Not sure about Israel.  I thought they were remorseless sociopaths reporting in recent surveys that Israel was the happiest place on the planet.
