Personally I don’t think it’s a good idea to use gambling as a coping mechanism especially that your emotions will be the one driving your decisions and that almost never end well. It’s fine sometimes but I find that dealing with your emotions especially negative ones can be much helpful than turning into potentially harmful vices.
But What about you? Do you also use gambling to escape from stress of the real world?
No, gambling has not happened to me and in general I don't think it's a good idea to try to escape from problems, although I think we've all done it at one time or another to a greater or lesser extent. It's one thing to have a few drinks after a stressful day at work to relax and momentarily forget about that day's problems, but it's another thing to use alcohol, or gambling as in this case, as an escape route to get away from your problems. The latter usually ends badly, very badly.
