So if Ruud stayed, he could have given Amorim some insider information, that way Amorim could have started a bit better. In any case, I am sure that we are going to see him do fine, he will need just a few games adjustment period, and if he can achieve that, rest will be much easier for him to get better results on. When you are a new coach, the hardest part is to get to learn more about players, and their personality, sometimes takes as much as months but after you do learn more about them, you end up not getting anything worse, you end up only growing better.
It was actually Amorim that might have not kept Ruud or simply offered him a lesser role, my reason for saying this is that Ruud Van Nistrooy said that he was actually going to do anything to help Manchester United get back to the old glory days and that’s why he even accepted the offer of been the assistant manager in the first place and that is the only club he is doing that for. So for him to be leaving now it definitely would be Amorim decision because the new Manchester United manager has already made it clear that he is moving with his managerial crew to the club and the club had to pay their contracts too off. Maybe Amorim doesn’t want someone with so much influence on the players like Ruud Van Nistrooy around to avoid distraction, which is a big decision and also a wise decision to me.
Ruud Van Nistrooy on the other hand will definitely get a new club easily, I heard he had applied for the Coventry job after missing out on the Roma job, it is a wise decision as this will help him polish his CV more before a bigger offer comes his way
