Of course it does. Always has.
That reminds me of a song I wrote many years ago. It starts like this:
They live in the project,
They live off the dole.
They never use any birth control.
They have too many children
But what the heck,
It means a bigger welfare check...

Nope, of course i don't earn money through parenting.
In my job, which i started three years ago, there is a simple rule: If you are good, you get moar. And a job. Anytime, following conditions of my own choice (home office and no deadline nags).
