I'm not being biased all because i would prefer Messi superior to Ronaldo according to my belief, the both has competed ideally and proven to be the best but the goal at which he scored was an average goal that just a player can score. The bicycle kick looks spectacular and astonishing due to measuring his age and doing stuffs like that but that was a clear goal scoring chance, either way a header or trapping with the chest then shoot would have still amounted to that goal. The whole trend about that goal isn't worth it, i can name a few aged players that can be able to do same, clearly he wasn't marked by opponents and the pressure was less on him which gave him enough time to calculate and then hit the ball. I wouldn't refer him as the greatest, more than just that kick is needed.
I don't like picking sides when I hear people bragging about Messi and Ronaldo. All I can say is, that both of them are good players. At the international level, they have done marvelously well for their country. Messi was able to guide the Argentina players in winning the last World Cup. Ronaldo has put in a similar effort but to no avail. The reason is because a tree cannot make a forest. Messi was opportune to play alongside talented players who are well known in the top league. The work became less easy for him as they worked together to achieve that. While Ronald has managed to push the strength of the team alone. If he had the opportunity to have talented players from his country trust me, the World Cup would be something he would boast of.
However, the goal scored by Ronaldo looks easy but deep down a lot of professional strikers would miss the goal if they were in that position. One thing I learned after watching the highlight is that Ronaldo still has his talent, but nature has limitations on everyone, and age is the highest of it all. I think the fans are only happy that Ronaldo can push himself to that extent at this age. Wishing time can go back to the past, so we can watch him one more time in his prime. Those days when football was football.
