If Amorim does not show good progress in a short time, maybe his fate will not be much different from Ten Hag and previous MU coaches. There is a lot of hope that Amorim can change MU into a strong team after Ruud van Nistelrooy tried his best in several short MU matches. Amorim has a job to at least improve MU's performance, if not, he might be compared to Ruud van Nistelrooy by fans. It will definitely feel uncomfortable if such a situation occurs in the team.
Ten Hag stayed in Manchester United for two years, that's a long time considering he didn't give any contribution to the team. I'm sure the fans will compare him with Nistelrooy because shit can happen, Nistelrooy only become a coach for 4 match, while Amorim might have more than 30+ match and I don't think he will able to make Manchester United to have undefeated record.
Amorim might recruit Gyokeres if Hojlund or Zirkzee can't score many goals.
Ten hag spent a lot of time and money at Manchester United although he wasn't able to make much of a difference in the red devils squad, so I think amorim will get chance the same in rebuilding Manchester United now, a change of manager at a club as big as Manchester United always brings new challenges and expectations and so it's inevitable that a coach also needs time to adjust to the new environment to implement his strategy, every coach has a favourite player so maybe he will also recruit Gyokeres later to become a mainstay in the front line, I think Gyokeres can be the right choice to replace Anthony, Zirkzee and also Hojlund, because he have good scoring ability and can provide variations in the manchester united attack later.
