The point difference between Liverpool and Manchester City is not much but it is not going to easy for Manchester City to retain their title. Even though two consecutive defeat in the Premier League is not that much, I don't think Liverpool would give Manchester City can opportunity to crake the lead. Manchester City are going through their fair share of injuries, and the team is experiencing an unusual dip in form. Their recent struggles shows that Liverpool may have an opportunity to win the league this season.
Manchester City is below Liverpool with a gap of 5 points. The gap is not too far, but also not too close. However, when looking at the number of matches still in the Premier League, this is a gap that should still be considered quite close. Manchester City has had some problems at the start of this season, it is recorded that they have experienced 2 defeats and 2 draws which we rarely see Manchester City get at the start of a season like this. While Liverpool is still better, they only felt 1 defeat and 1 draw at the start of this season.
The five point gap could possibly increase because Manchester City performance is currently inconsistent, while Liverpool has really shown their best side this season with a series of wins that continue to be achieved. Injuries to several key players have left Manchester City out of balance in midfielder as KDB and Pedri's roles cannot yet be replaced by other players.

If we count the number of matches remaining until the end of the season, Manchester City still has the opportunity to recover from the poor results achieved in the last four matches in all competitions, but the problem is that Liverpool is very consistent in maintaining its best performance. In the midst of a tight schedule, anything can still happen, player injuries can hit anyone, including Liverpool players. If the situation changes, maybe we will see a more competitive competition than before.
