Coming from a very superstitious country, I grew up getting familiar with a lot of them and as I grow older I just become even more aware particularly in the context of gambling. Now, I am not recommending everyone to follow superstitions as at the end of the day, that is all they are: superstitions.

Anyway, Let me know if you do follow some superstitions even if it is just for fun. Or which ones you think are extremely ridiculous.
Honestly, I could never believe in things like that. Even in my own experience I have seen how certain religious beliefs in our family especially having ideas about luck and success in life if you are religious. But for me science and logic come first, and I just don’t think superstitions hold any real power or even holy books or lucky people.
It’s interesting to me how people around the world have different beliefs about luck like avoiding the number 13 or thinking red brings good fortune. But to me, it’s more entertaining to learn where these ideas came from than to actually follow them. For example, the idea of avoiding counting chips at the table? sure, it might be good etiquette but it doesn’t affect the outcome at all if you really think about it logically.
I get that some find comfort or fun in following these superstitions to avoid those bad feeling when they lose, but I think the pressure of bad luck could just add unnecessary stress for most of the time especially in gambling. At the end of the day the games outcome depends on probability and not on whether you walked through the right door or wore the right color. So, while I respect people who enjoy these traditions for me I will always stick to my scientific view and let the odds speak for themselves, not blaming anything else for my losses.
