But if I may ask, has this low performance by Turkey got to do with their formation? I think the 4-2-3-1 formation is making them become docile and not offensive enough to make goals. Conceded two goals at this critical time for them isn't also giving. I don't really believe that the bad pitch alone is a enough reason to capitalize on Turkiye lost to Montenegro, I would more aggree to Montenegro formation to be the major contributor here as both teams payed on same pitch. in many occasions it used to be difficult to penetrate a 3-5-2 formation, when the midfield is choked, with this kind of formation that Montenegro played, a 4-3-3 formation would have been more effective.
