Basically, what I know of such machines are that they are used for games. Coins are slot inside to activate access to the games and kids play on them, except if they are now used to do staking and competition for profit or gains. Otherwise, they are machines that children play around with for their different games and those coins are so that it allows access to it and timing for the games.

So apart from that, except there are people who now arrange them for the purpose of gambling for underage. But allowing children that freewill to always jump on the machines can lead to addiction and that could result into gambling or using their upkeep to play.
yup that's right friend, because the number of game machines like this is because currently the development of increasingly sophisticated technology is the driving force, also I think most children will definitely like this with them having to spend money and exchange it for coins then they can access even though the games available besides that with the prizes I also think it can make them addicted to continue doing it, but of course their parents will not allow them if they play the game machine for too long.

Maybe once in a while it doesn't matter, especially because of course children also need something like this because in other words they are still in the playing cycle in their lives. But for parents it is better to be able to limit their children's movements or activities.
