Lets set the record straight...Top 6 is not happening for Manchester United, the board chose to keep Erik Ten Hag after beating City and thinking things will improve but instead it was their worst decision as the man was on his way out but they entertained him and has left the team 6 feet under now...but with the coming of Amorim, anything below 10 should be a win for the club and that should be what to aim for as the team is undergoing surgery.
Amorim does not need to target the top 5/6 positions, because as long as he can fix the chaos that Erik Ten Hag did, Amorim will definitely get full support from the club. So Amorim current task is to focus on trying to stabilize and restore the confidence of his players that has long been buried by Ten Hag. Give players comfort, establish good relationships with coaches not only on the field but also off the field to show a sense of togetherness.
