Your crypto is not lost or inaccessible, you just have a Ledger device error.
If you remember what the derivation path Ledger used when you created the wallet was, you can simply type it into any wallet software along with the 24-word seed.
I'm not going to recommend anything, but Sparrow Wallet in particular allows you to manually specify the derivation path.
So if you've got legacy addresses it should be m/44'/0'/<account-number>' <-- the account number is probably 0 unless you made more accounts.

using my passwords on the iancoleman site, I am seeing several codes such as BIP32 Extended private key, Extended public key etc, as well as a list of Path addresses starting m/0/0 etc
Where do I go from here to retrieve the funds?
