I was a little surprised by the management's dissatisfaction with Ruud van Nistelrooy to handle Manchester United that he seemed able to bring Manchester United to its best performance, because we know that Ruud van Nistelrooy knows more about what Manchester United wants, honestly I doubt Ruben Amorim and I also don't know anything that Ruben Amorim has done as a coach and the achievements that have been obtained I don't know, but it all comes back to the decision of Manchester United management in developing and making significant changes this season.
I feel that if the management of Manchester United had allowed Ruud Van Nistelrooy to handle some of their matches as an interim manager before the started looking for a new coach, they would have had a change of mind about hiring Ruben Amorim because I feel that Nistelrooy has some element of luck that would have given him the immediate result just like we saw in the few matches he handled for the club. Unfortunately, the management were not willing to give him a try before looking outside and since the new coach was already hired before the realized that Nistelrooy would have made a good coach, there was nothing they could do. Lets hope that Amorim succeeds because if he follow the part of ETH, he might face similar fate and I see Nitelrooy coming full time from there.
Ruud Van Nistelrooy is part of Ten Hag coaching staff, Manchester United management does not see him as a long-term plan, although The Red Devils performance immediately improved when Ruud Van Nistelrooy served as interim coach. Ruben Amorim has proven his skills with Sporting CP, that is the reason why the club top brass prefer to recruit him as the new manager rather than retain Ruud Van Nistelrooy until the end of the season. The Ten Hag era is over, and the Ruben Amorim era will soon begin, the match against Ipswich Town will be his first match.
