At the start of the season, we had a lot of criticism about PSG, which also mentioned that since PSG have not formed a very good team this season, we will not see a significant performance from them in the Champions League. But PSG have been able to perform better than we thought so far. Although they have some equations ahead of them going to the next round, I think PSG have had enough time to think about it. The team does not have any notable good players like last season so the fans must be satisfied with the performance of PSG this season. But I would like to see PSG at least until the quarter finals of the Champions League.
It's all because of Mbappe's departure and the PSg team did not bring in a replacement player of the same class as Mbappe.
Now it is proven that PSG is having a hard time competing in the Champions League, they have lost twice out of the 4 matches they have played and only managed to win 1 so I think for this season don't put too high expectations on PSG, especially this season the competition in the Champions League is much fiercer so I am pessimistic that PSg can reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League this season.
Actually if you look at the current PSG squad they can and are able to compete in the UCL but for some reason they seem to have difficulty when facing a team that on paper PSG should be able to win, maybe because of a lack of mentality or maybe because in the local league they don't get tough competition from other teams so they can't handle the big pressure in the UCL competition. I have seen their schedule in the UCL from the remaining 4 matches that must be played 3 of them they will play away and that is not profitable, I think even if they can qualify for R16 maybe through the play off round but maybe that's the end of their journey, I don't see them being able to advance to the quarter finals PSG doesn't look convincing.
