Predicting outcomes on the first day is more challenging since it’s difficult to gauge how teams will perform at the start of the season. Pre-season games offer some insight, but it’s in the regular season where teams’ true form starts to show.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Detroit Pistons
While I expect Atlanta to win, this game is likely to be a close one.

Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers
Derrick Rose is still out due to an injury he sustained in practice. Given that, Cleveland has a strong chance of winning the season opener.

Golden State Warriors vs. New Orleans Pelicans
This will be a good test for Anthony Davis and his performance this season. It’s shaping up to be another tight matchup, but I’m leaning towards the Pelicans for the win.
