I agree with you on that. The reason is that Manchester City are a big team with a winning mentality, they have maintain their position as the league champions for four seasons straight. It’s not easy to overthrow such a team. I believe teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United will only be able to dominate the league when Pep Guardiola is no longer coaching Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has extended his contract with Manchester City which means we will be seeing him stay in the EPL a little longer.
Obviously, there is no doubting that Manchester City in particular, and Pep Guardiola in general, have set the benchmark incredibly high within this league, but this can only, once again, be seen as motivation for other competing teams to explore ways in which they can augment their abilities and strengths. However, if all the ingredients for corporate governance are properly applied, it will not be impossible for Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United to regain competitiveness.
Here, we do not have to wait for Guardiola to step out to look for changes because every season presents a new disruptive model of overturning the existing dominance in order to write a new success story. The key thing that has to be formed is the team which is quite talented but has also to be a team with good team work and spirit in particular accepting all sorts of big challenges like playing against Manchester City.
