Maybe they also think that by telling the following and asking for help from others, it will only cause new problems such as dealing with the police, especially when they are in a country that prohibits gambling, so this is a bit confusing, especially when you are in a country that prohibits gambling because of course there will be a fear in you to ask for help from others because of the fear that the action will actually cause problems, but I think asking for help from people close to you like friends for example, maybe that can still be done.
I wouldn’t know what that would mean, to be actively gambling in a nation where gambling is prohibited, mostly due to religion. Our Muslim brothers would tell better but, this promotes a different kind of issue on its own. You really wouldn’t be able to tell anyone, not even within your family circle. You find yourself lost with no help of a remedy as this is not only outlawed by the state but also, doesn’t seem right in the face of your religion.
It’s a hard thing to do though, seeking help from friends and it largely depends on what kind of friends you’ve got to get any hope of being rightly advised. Not just advised but, monitor your affairs to ensure you stick to your words on actually helping your situation through certain affirmations. Sadly, good friends are hard to come by.
Yes I agree with that most gambling is prohibited by religion, so it may not only be about the policy in your country but also about whether the religion you follow allows gambling or not, such as Islam that you mentioned which is a religion that is really against gambling and people in your environment who are of your religion will also definitely curse you or maybe punish you when they find out about your involvement in gambling.
I think it is quite a confusing situation because of course indirectly the environment of a religion that is against gambling will make it difficult for you to dare to share your story to get a solution to your gambling problem. As I said above that maybe the solution is to tell your closest friends, although it does not mean they are the right place to be trusted but usually your closest friends will always support you
