Stop complaining about difficult economy, if you have always think the economy is hard you will be managing the little money you have , and you would think it is too difficult for you to invest in something because the economy hard. No matter how the economy may seems so difficult people are still spending money to purchase what they are in need of. Hard economy don't stop people from purchasing what they want, people are spending money everyday. In this hard economy think of what you can buy and sell that people can't do without, this is how to roll when economy seems to be difficult. Hard economy don't stop people from spending money, if you go to the market you will see many people selling and buying. Hard economy doesn't make the market to be scanty or go for break.
You are taking outside as if you don't understand how the economy works. A head economy means something is bad somewhere since it's large amount of people but it's if only small amount of people that are feeling the hard time, then it can be resolve with time. What I don't understand with economy as hard economy is high inflation, increase in purchasing power, you can't stay in such environment when things are not working, you will be suffering in pain.
You are also generalizing about money, if you check your country, people that will have $100k in their bank account might not reach half the total population and the rich people might not be upto 5%. The fact that you have the opportunity to enjoy it doesn't mean that other people have the means. If life is difficult for the average person, it's the responsibility of the government to intervene and makes things easy, if people continue to live in silent, the government will believe they are fine with the way things is in the country.
