If I have a bitcoin wallet on say Exodus, but something happens to the people that make Exodus, could I upload the 12 word private key on a different bitcoin hot wallet such as electrum and get my coins back?
Is it something about bad reputation that'd about the developers of this wallet you meant or wallet network software issues?
However, the wallets Network generates the 12 words seed phrase for you on shuffling and regeneration and you don't generate the seed phrase yourself neither can you affiliate a wallet seed phrase to a different wallet.
It doesn't work out that way.
You can only transfer your bitcoin from the exodus wallet to the electrum wallet successfully if only you've access of the right seed phrase of that your Exodus wallet.
