A shameful result for ranieri's first game. Another embarassing performance Roma, and they're still placing in the same position.
Although Roma played quite well, i don't say they played well, but only quite, Ok!. They played a bit better than what they did under Juric, but there are still many loopholes in their defensive line. They often press Napoli in the first half. But, the second half is so bad and it deserves insults. They so damn weak when they being flanked by Napoli and that's where the goal was started.
Ranieri must have done more experiments to strengthen their left and right sides. They often flanked by their opponents, and they have to fix it asap. The next two games are harder than this one. So, they must have prepared well against Tottenham and Atalanta. But, I doubt they'll win it all.
I don't think Roma even played "quite okay".
Roma had a lot of problems on finding the target. They had only 1 shot on goal in the whole game...I wouldn't like to go harsh on Ranieri on his first game already of course. He needs to figure out the problem behind and solve it in time. But if it takes him too much time I don't think Roma board would be patient. By the way I don't know why Dybala isn't preferred in the starting lineup.
He can clearly play together with Dovbyk. Let's see though as he has just recovered from an injury. Maybe Ranieri would have plans for him.
