Okay thanks for the information. I do like exodus, the concern is just about it being a closed source software. I decided if I begin using another wallet I'm just going to send it and pay the gas fee rather than try to import keys.
Ok, you can use another open source wallet like electron wallet to save your Bitcoin. All you need is just to set up a new wallet, save the private key in a safe and reliable place, then since you don’t trust the wallet you have the Bitcoins in, you can then send the Bitcoin to your new wallet and that’s all.
You can even transfer the seed phrase into any wallet since your Bitcoin is not saved in the wallet but saved in blockchain, but since you feel safe in an open source wallet, then you can send them to any wallet you set up.
