You can try adjusting the fee slider to a lower setting but make sure the transaction still gets confirmed in a reasonable time. Sometimes using a dynamic fee setting based on current network conditions can help reduce the fee. Also double check if you have any unspent transaction outputs that might be causing the higher fee due to the way Electrum is structuring the transaction.

Switching from a close source wallet to an open source wallet is good, recommended but oppositely, switching from an open-source wallet to a close-source one, for example from Electrum to Exodus, is terrible advice!
