Focusing on making money means being fully aware of: 1. What do I have? (What can be converted into money); 2. What do I want? (Money); 3. What am I willing to give? (Time, energy, money, emotions, etc.)
Money is the most basic tool in meeting daily needs, so it’s never unknown to us why people stay focused on making money, and even generating more money. However, more than the need to make ends meet and achieve financial security and stability, these people also aim to satisfy their emotional aspect, social and even cultural significance. So a lot of factors require money to achieve them. No wonder why people prioritize money over other matters.
Money from a tool for exchanging
value (for goods and services) was simultaneously transformed into a certain social marker demonstrating significance in society. That is, money is also perceived as an indicator of "coolness and dominance". Each person would not mind being higher on the social ladder and therefore, they try to use money to "exalt" themselves above others. It is not surprising that people with a shortage of money are so eager to get rich, not so much because of the financial component, but also to assert themselves and show others that they are better. Also, the rich are not deprived of this, who, having long since closed the issue of a lack of money, still continue to accumulate (it would seem, why else save?) because of that very social marker and raising their status (thanks to money) even higher. That is, with the help of money, a certain race of social status occurs.
