I have seen various topics discussed in here about their bankrolls or budget and whatnot when gambling. Well a
French national just wagered $30 million to a bet about the US election. Now the online platform is being reviewed by France and is being checked if they follow laws accordingly. I am sure that amount shocked them especially after the gambler admitted that it was not even to sponsor Trump and that he did not have any political agenda with that bet. He did win and made profit but I was just so surprised with how can anyone bet this huge amount of money?
No matter how rich I get, I do not think I would be risking throwing away $30 million. I am also sure that the French authorities are making moves after this ridiculous amount of money betted to prevent encouraging their citizens from following in the gambler's footsteps. But I think instead of punishing the platform, the government should focus on how can they 'control' their citizens' gambling habits. Focusing on one platform will not eradicate people who would continue to bet this huge amount of money.
Well, the dude risked that huge sum of money on betting simply because he has it, this is all I have to say on this matter, some one who doesn't have that much can't go and steal yeah, except someone who have been a thieve for long.
But coming back to myself now, even if I become richer than Elon Musk or bill gates is, I don't think I will ever put more than $500 into a game, regardless of how sure or the level of confidence I have in winning, the mindset already is that, there are no guarantees of any kind in gambling, even the game that look so convincing can end up being the source of many gamblers losing their hard earned money..
I even might stop gambling entirely if I become very rich, because business trips, meetings, setting strategies for and to achieve new goals won't even allow me the time to try gambling, I gamble mostly just to have fun, and when I become very rich, nothing will be more fun for me than building businesses and watching them succeed.
