I pronounce it as do-ge, so three pronunciations are what I am hearing. First is mine, next is yours as dog-e, the others I've heard them tell it as 'dodge'.
Even though Dogecoin has a different pronunciation, it never crosses my mind to think about a dolphin as the OP said there lol but after the boom of Dogecoin, there are then different kinds of animals that are introduced in the meme coin world and among it of course the dolphins. Anyway, the 'dodge' word on the other hand, seem to be a different word anymore and it means to avoid someone or something, though I won't say it is disturbing. I think that word is too much for it anymore.

I thought Dogecoin came from that cute dog that also had its own meme later on? It is based on an animal dog, hence it was also named as that but again without that letter 'I'.
