While I agree that Atalanta has been great and on a good momentum for the past few years, we have to accept that Real Madrid has no other choice but win this game. They played all their hard games, and they are 24th right now in UCL and if they lose to Atalanta, then they are risking actually putting themselves outside of top 24 as well, which wouldn't be really logical for a club like Real Madrid at all.
This new change at UEFA competitions, where everyone plays each other, and 8 games instead of 6, and big teams facing big teams too, it all made it so much fun. Smaller teams have more chances here, they could play against other smaller teams, hence they could get up and the big ones usually faced only smaller teams and won, here they face other big teams and lose, look at where Brest is and look at where Real Madrid is, it's really making UEFA fun once more, actually giving us something different than the same stuff we have seen for decades now.
