If Liverpool are able to win this match, they’ve just given us more assurance that they are the capable of winning the league title and Manchester City won’t be a stumbling block for them to achieve that success. Manchester City are not out of the league title race yet looking at the number of matches left to be played this season which half of them is yet to be played. I think this is an opportunity for Liverpool and they should try everything possibly to achieve the best results now not until when it may get harder for them to win big teams.
I tend to think Liverpool could have won their home game instead of letting Manchester City win, but the outcome of that game could have been more erroneous than predictable. Liverpool seems consistent with only 1 loss and 1 draw in the last 12 weeks of the Premier League, so their victory is more likely to be expected than Manchester City.
I also don't completely doubt the ability of Manchester City, whose squad has good players. They can take advantage of opportunities and win, so underestimating them completely on the odds would be a big mistake. If Haaland and his colleagues perform well from the first half, then I think victory is not impossible.
